Team
#WeareKBD. We say that a lot around here, because while everyone has to be a pretty smart cookie to work with the caliber of our clients, the real magic comes from pulling together as a team. Meet the KBD Crew.

Adam Breeden
Adam’s design skills and uncanny ability to remain calm under pressure have led him to the perfect job handling all aspects of our clients’ website needs. He will be your primary point of contact for all things web, both during the buildout and after your site launches.
Fun Facts: Adam has worked as a dairy farmer, ballroom dance instructor, in childcare, as a bartender, lumberjack, a full-time drummer, and as a caving guide.

Andy Fischer
Andy has been deep in the design world for over 10 years working as a designer, print manager, creative director, and design director. He helped build a marketing agency startup and has had his hand in every facet of marketing throughout his career. His passion truly lies in the strategy of design – taking an idea, dreaming of its possibilities and seeing it come to life.
Fun Facts: When not elbow deep in Adobe, Andy loves to research and learn, sitting down at his piano, a good (or bad) sci-fi movie, camping year-round (winter too!), and enjoying a big bowl of ice cream. Despite how painful it may be, he is a proud fan of the Minnesota Twins and Vikings.

Jim Thompson
Jim honed his design skills in the food, fintech, and e-commerce industries before joining the KBD team. Jim has over ten years of experience in branding, UI, motion, photography, and front-end development, and he loves the challenge of learning new disciplines and solving creative problems.
Fun Facts: Jim is an avid musician, amateur woodworker, occasional road biker, and former band geek. On weekends, Jim can be found on a trail, in a tent, or somewhere by the water with his wife, 1-year-old son, yellow lab, and golden retriever.

Katie holds a BFA from Georgetown University, is the founder of the Georgetown Technology Alliance and recipient of the university’s Gaston Award. She serves on the boards of a number of non-profits and early stage startups and speaks regularly as an advocate for women in the technology community.
Fun Facts: Katie loves to bake and spends most of her free time reading cookbooks and testing recipes in the quest for the perfect cookie. Proud fan of 70s music and retro TV shows, much to the chagrin of her husband and two kids.

Lauren Nagoda
Lauren is a thoughtful designer, a great listener who is adept at pulling ideas together into a cohesive whole — with a touch of whimsy, when called for. This tree-hugging, bird-obsessed Pittsburgh native has worked in advertising, publishing, package design and landscape design, and brings over 20 years of design experience to our team.
Fun Facts: Lauren spends most of her free time birding, hiking, hunting for mushrooms, gardening with native plants, growing vegetables and trying to make the world just a smidge more beautiful and safer for people and wildlife. Warning: Her pet pigeon, Simon, retains veto power over Lauren’s creative output.

Matt Casale
A team-oriented designer, Matt loves to think outside the box and collaborate with his teammates to come up with killer designs. He brings a client-comes-first attitude and enjoys going the extra mile for them. Matt is a multi-award-winning designer with nearly 20 years of experience, working primarily in the food, retail, health & wellness, and technology industries.

Rob Dozier
An early curiosity for graphic design and development started in high school, where Rob was able to build websites and design in computer class. After graduation he jumped into the professional field, learning from creative directors, and early mistakes–luckily nothing catastrophic.
From his entry-level days to his senior roles–he’s led projects for Fortune 500 companies and won awards. Each project never leaves him satisfied, he has a desire to expand his knowledge in multiple fields, and general understanding.
Fun Facts: Rob loves learning Python algorithms/Machine Learning for trading on the stock market, he used to aggressive rollerblade at the skatepark (aka fruitbooter), and he is a cigar aficionado.

Steve is the creator of ACF Builder, a popular open-source PHP library for defining WordPress Advanced Custom Fields quickly in code.
Steve gets excited by all new tech, which is part of the reason he loves being a web developer so much. The field is constantly evolving. He is also addicted to the instant gratification of creating something and watching it come to life, or finally solving that seemingly impossible problem.
Fun Facts: When not working, Steve likes to bike and play games with his wife and their two boys from their massive Nintendo and board game library.
